TICKET LINK Amazigh Kateb is one of the most popular Algerian musician. He is the lead singer and principal figure of the fame group Gnawa Diffusion as well as having a prolific solo artist carrier. Amazigh is the son of the celebrated poet, writer, and considered to be the founder of modern Algerian literature Kateb Yacine.  He sings and accompany himself with the Gimbri  (Gnawa instrument that is probably the ancestor of the  bass and is played as a “slapping electric bass” –very funky indeed!) He uses some of the text of his father and like him he is always very socially involved with the lyrics of his songs. Amazigh soulful voice, hypnotic and trance like grooves, memorable melodies & hooks added to his natural charm on and off the stage makes him an instant success anywhere and explain the legions and adoration of his fans! With more than 8 albums to his credit and countless sold out tours all over Europe he is now touring North America.
